    360 Slim Overheating?

I'm having issues with my 360 slim. I get the error message that the system is shutting down due to overheating, however the console and power source are not hot when it happens. The system is kept in a well ventilated spot, and it and the power source are
both cool to the touch when this happens. At first I though dust in the vents was the most likely culprit, but I've hit the vents up with some keyboard duster and they seem clear. It's a fairly new system, I've only had it for about six months and it hasn't
been used for the last few months so I'm unsure why this would start happening now. Apparently slims overheating is a common issue, but has anyone had a similar problem where the console isn't actually hot? Any advice?

    :)

Xbox One and Kinect 2's exact size, cable length revealed

Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

    Original 360 dimensions

    309mm x 258mm x 83mm

    Not much in it really.

  4. 360 Slim Overheating?

iv not heard of this on the xboxs (mine gets pretty warm at the best of times but hasnt shut down). that said iv had it on pc where the heatsink is not attached properly so does not transfer the heat out to the fans (all seems cold but the chip is over heating)
so on this i would suggest sending for console repair
