360 slim beeping?

    360 slim beeping?


    The other morning I got up and started up Destiny. Before I even selected my character my xbox cut off. I turned it back on and it did it about 4 more times. I cleaned the buttons because when it cut off it didn't just randomly cut off; it beeped like someone
    pushed the button. When I would cut it back on my resolution setting were messed up. After those 4 or 5 times of cutting off it stopped and assumed my buttons were just dirty. I just woke up this morning and my house is completely quiet and I hear the beep
    from the disk tray being opened. Then I hear the beep of the xbox turning on. The disk tray never opened but the xbox did turn on and the resolution settings were messed up. I fixed them and then the xbox beeped and cut off again. What's going on with my xbox?
    Or maybe my house is haunted by someone who wants to play Destiny?

    Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

    Not much in it really.

    Do you have a kinect plugged in?

    Have you checked all your cables are fitted correctly and not damaged?

    As your resolution has been affected, have you tried a different HD lead or a different HD socket on your TV?

    If your console turns off in use, have you checked if the fan is running, does it feel hot?

    Are you aware of any new 360 slims making an "open tray" beep during gameplay? My new 360 slim was making that beep sometimes while playing Black Ops online. Tray doesn't open or anything and gameplay was not disturbed. Weird. Makes me think of pinging
    but I know it's not pinging. I hope. More recently, has not beeped in awhile. Keep fingers crossed.

    XBOX 360 S - Red Light On Power Button...

    The Xbox 360 slim, as in the title.

    Just the centre turning red, i get the beep, green, the the arc and it goes solid red for a couple of seconds then off.

    Although I do not speak Spanish, I was able to understand your question. I hope this is of some use to you:

    (I can translate to either Italian or French if it helps)

    Problem: Your Xbox Slim will beep randomly while playing and the DVD tray opens

    I suggest the following. If a step does not work, proceed to the next.

    1. If you have recently moved your XBox, ensure it is not near fluorescent lights or other devices that can cause interference with the touch sensor. Move it back to where it was before the problem began and test.
    2. Unplug the Xbox, and unplug the power supply from the wall. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Plug everything back in, and verify a solid green or orange light on the power supply and turn it on.
    3. Remove any batteries from your controllers and remote, and disconnect the Kinect if you have it. Turn on your Xbox, and see if the issue still occurs while sitting at the dashboard.
    4. Turn the unit off and unplug it. Clean the power button so there is no grease/dirt on it. If you use denatured alcohol or something similar, wet a cotton swap or paper towel lightly and wipe the button... do not spray any liquid on the button itself.
      Allow it to dry. If you have a can of compressed air, blow it around the power button to remove any dust. Turn on the XBox and see if the problem occurs
    If the problem still occurs, you may have a faulty power switch. I suggest contacting Xbox support to see if the device can be repaired.
