    Yes, all Xbox 360 S consoles have built in WiFi.

    So to answer your question the specific model your getting Xbox 360 250GB w/ Kinect does indeed come with built in WiFi.

    The slim 360

    They completely reworked the inside of the Xbox 360 S. It's much better at maintaining airflow, temperature, and noise. The build in WiFi works great. It was a much needed overhaul that left the old 360's in the dust.

    if you 360 slim console is telling you that it needs a wireless network adapter.

    Please try setting the network settings on the console to the factory defaults, if that doesn't help you will need to get the console repaired via

    What specifically would allow the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to connect while the built-in wifi would not?

    My Xbox 360 S detects a wireless signal with 4 bars, and I am testing it while sitting it right next to the modem, so there is no issue with signal strength.

    My Xbox 360 S's built-in wifi is able to connect to a hotspot, and it is even able to connect to my neighbor's wifi from my house.
