    360 reboots only for certain games? Bad HD maybe?


    So my 360 was running fine yesterday I was playing WoT (World of Tanks) then started a new game for my son. Lego Dimensions. It wouldn't install on the HD, figured ok just run from disc but it couldn't download the update either. I had over 80gb free but
    figured maybe there is an issue with sector reporting or something. Got rid of some old videos and uninstalled some games. Then update could download but game would restart during play. Uninstalled more and downloaded even more updates it started sort of behaving
    but still would reboot randomly and now the save is corrupted. Also now WoT won't even launch neither GTAV but Hitman will and some of the Lego games will. Tried all kind of Xbox settings no joy. Going to find an external HD and try that but out of ideas.

    Thoughts anyone?

    Xbox 360 4 GB / Harddiskspace

    In order to play games that require a hd you need an official xbox hd

    The 4gig is only memory

    And USB hd doesn't count only for storage

    Certain games need the official hds

    I would rather see adaptions as to carbon copies but if I had to choose just one I would say HEXIC HD.

    Yes, hard drive do go bad. However, before you completely give up on your Xbox 360's HDD may I suggest you try "How to clear the cache on Xbox 360" . If you continue
    to have problems, you may need to do a "Reset to Default Settings". But, make sure you have everything you want to keep backed up "Copy, move, or delete Xbox saved
    games, profiles, and avatar items    " and/or "Store your saved games in the cloud" . For more information and suggestions see "Console:
    Troubleshoot    " .

    The answer is depend of somethings to clarify better your question...

    IF your game is for a original Xbox game that depends from your model..., because some models of 360 (the slim models to resume) has some compability problems whif microsoft toll to make xbox original games works, to simplify a problem of hardware, the bad
    news is has no solution because MS end the support to xbox orginals games in 2010.

    If you talk about a old game lauched in 360 cal cars the problem maybe is your hd, because some fake hd or thirds hd has the "mania" to loose data.

    To confirm if your hd and cable is original you have to look the signals like

    Microsoft mark in releve in product

    the 3d Seal in product

    And the box has the 360 logo!!!

    The only othe way to that is a mistake of out of serch cause, don´t worry that happens in the best familys, one friend has that mistake too.

    You buy a 360 Slim (the black small one ) and tryed to use the hd for fat 360 (the flat and tall one and has 360 HDD in one face...

    The slim model only acept HDD for same model = silm acepts slim HDD, Fat acepts fats HDD.
