360 not playing games or movies.

I have a 360, that's not playing games or movies from discs. I've seen the "tutorials" about tapping on the top, above the disk drive, but that doesn't help. What can I do, to fix the problem? Is it something I will have to send the console in to get fixed,
or is there something that I'm missing? I've gone through the whole setup and even wiped the system of all updates, but it still won't play anything.

Xbox One Dolby Digital surround output clipping (crackle sound)

I still get thia issue from time to time. It depends on what game or movie is playing, since not every game or movie has the option to turn down the audio output. this should get fixed since the 360 never had this problem with dolby surround sound.

 

Xbox 360 rented movie not playing

I rented a movie and when it downloaded it won't play it just had an option to purchase or delete. When I try to press play it just plays the trailer. Please help!

 

Send it in. Fork out the money. Don't dare try to fix it yourself.

 

Will they fix such an old model though? It's an original, from 2006

 

It would probably be cheaper to buy a new 360 than send in the broken one to be fixed.

 

Oh yeah they will fix for 99-120 dollars! But as mentioned you can buy a new one now for less than that!

 

Hardware service for original Xbox 360 consoles has been discontinued. Microsoft now only offers service for the later 360S and 360E consoles.
