360 laser burnout story

I've had roughly five 360's end with laser issues... Never a red-ringer. Some of you know the routine with out of warranty consoles. Take the top off and adjust/clean the laser until it finally refuses to work at all... The last console i had the laser adjustment
screw was so worn from adjustment that it eventually became un-turnable and stripped... I got the bright idea to take a pair of pliers and just rip the entire screw out and noticed the laser became very bright... They get so dim towards the end of their life
cycle and won't read and spin up the disc so i was sorta baffled that it was SO bright... Well, that was almost three years ago... I've had absolutely zero disc read/open tray errors since then and i use it most every day... I've never had an Xbox work better...
This is not a troll and is 100% true story... Just thought i would share and in case any one had a surely dead on lying around and wanted a last ditch effort to revive theirs.

Ripping the adjustment screw out of a laser will not fix it, it will just destroy discs.
