360 issue with power supply

I have a 360 that I keep getting the 3 flashing red lights, I followed the support page by the letter with using a "NEW" power supply. plugged the unit up and xbox worked great no issues. Now xbox has the 3 red flashing lights. any Ideas?

Hey there PSYCHO,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your console.

When the console powers itself off, is there a light showing on the Power Supply?

If it is anything other than green, try the steps in our
Check Power Supply article.

If you are showing that the power supply light is green and this issue occurs with the power supply plugged into different outlets it sounds like there may be an issue with the console itself. If that is the case, I would recommend

setting up a repair.

Have you tried to go through the No Power Solution guide here? It's either an issue with your console's power supply, or an issue
with the console itself.

It may be that the console is old and is in need of repair. Please be aware that if the console you're using is one of the old FAT console they are no longer being serviced by Microsoft due to their age. If you are using one of those and it needs to be
repaired you may be better off purchasing a new one.

If I remember correctly 3 lights means generic hardware failure. Try the link provided in the above post. If nothing pans out and you have a PHAT console, then we can't help you here. I'd sell it for parts and buy a new one.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue being experienced with your Xbox 360 S not powering on.

If you've tried everything with the power input then either the power supply or the internal hardware responsible for distribution of the power is no longer working and would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer services Xbox 360's or
sell power supplies for the Xbox 360. The best way to go about this is possibly find a local third party electronic repair center that specializes in consoles or see if you can find a power unit on Amazon or eBay. Here is more information on the Xbox 360 power
