360 games won't give me the option to download

so I looked up the backwards compatibility list and two of my old games were on it which are assasins creed and splinter cell conviction but when I put them in my Xbox tells me that they are not playable to play them I need a 360sething along those les but
I don't know what to do please help

1. Is your Xbox One connected to Xbox Live?

2. Are your old discs in good condition?

 

yes I'm connected to Xbox live and there not in perfect condition but they aren't too bad just a few small scratches

 

I can only suggest you either try them in another Xbox - preferably and Xbox 360 to see if they actually work - or take them to a game store that are able to clean the discs. Quite a few game stores have disc cleaners that can remove scratches from games
for a very small fee.

All Xbox 360 games that are BC with the Xbox One must be able to be read by the console. If they can't be recognised, the compatible version can't be downloaded from Xbox Live.
