    360 Games with Gold not free


    So I have a new Xbox One, really enjoying it but I got the Xbox Live Gold where you get monthly free games. It's all working fine, I got Project Cars last month, and this months game is installing aswell, but the 360 Games that are supposed to be free, and
    are free for my friend, still require me to pay for them. First I missed out on Star Wars The Force Unleashed and this month Borderlands 2 also requires me to pay for it instead of giving it for free. If anyone has any solution to this I'd love to hear it.
    I'm honestly kinda gutted I missed out on Star Wars already.

    Games with gold unable to be played without active subscription

    Xbox One games with gold games require a gold subscription in order to continue playing the games for free. The 360 games do not.

    Xbox live games with gold

    FIFA is free for a limited time, not a Games with Gold game. So you would have to buy it in order to continue playing. Any games that have a Free Play weekend or period like that would be the same.

    Games with Gold games on the 360 are free to continue playing with no limit. Games with Gold games on the One are free to play as long as you have gold.

    Currently still the free one it came with. Didn't think it would make much of a difference what type you have?

    That's the issue. Trials don't change your account status to gold, they only give you some aspects of it. You can download the One games on a trial, but you need a full subscription for the 360 games.

    When Xbox games with gold existed u get Xbox 360 games free and Xbox one games free. The Xbox one games u claim for free are only free with a gold subscription when it was gold. Now it's gamepass core. But when Xbox games with gold was a thing the Xbox 360 games u get for free are permanent. But Xbox one games are not. U have to keep ur gamepass core to have access to your free to play Xbox one games with gamepass core that u claimed with gold back then.

    You need a current Gold account for it to be free. Unfortunately trial accounts for Gold dont qualify for the free 360 game.

    Yes, gold can be used on a 360. Gold is used to play online multiplayer. Games with Gold have been discontinued for the 360 so you won't get free games for the 360 with a subscription.

    You could invest in a external hard drive, then sign in and download the FREE games w gold on any device each month... No matter if you ditch the 360, (GWG 360 games are yours now for free forever on X1 or 360, regaurdless of gold membership, plus two more
    X1 free games) their all still free on your Xbox One...
