    360 games not working on Series S


    I have recently been having this strange issue where when I launch a 360 game on my Series S, it stays stuck at the "Getting your Xbox 360 info" screen. It's not a connection issue because Xbox One games and apps work fine... I already have cleared the 360 local cache, but it hasn't helped.

    I do have some sites blocked through my router, to block ads and tracking, so I'll leave the list of blocked sites below, in case anyone knows if they're the problem:

    The Series X version of the game will also work on a Series S. Are you sure you have a Series S and not a One S? The Series S/X version will not work on a One.

    Xbox one s isn’t compatible with series s games

    Depending on what the game is, if what you bought is for the Series S/X then it will only work on the Series S/X. The One was released before the Series S/X. One games will work on the Series S/X, but not always vice versa.

    The Xbox Series S/X has 3 USB ports, just like the Xbox One. From the sound of it, you have the Xbox 360 S. If that is the case, the 2tb drive you own will work, only if the drive is a USB 3.0/3.1 drive. Please note, the only games that will work on the
    drive will be 0g Xbox games. Xbox 360 games & Xbox One games. Any series S/X games will have to be stored on the consoles own storage, which includes the consoles external SSD.

    Will NBA 2k24 for Xbox series X game disc work on my Xbox one? Are series X games compatible with One consoles or only vice versa?

    If it's only for a Series S/X, it will not work on a One. One games will work on a Series S/X.

    Also, I’m having the same issue playing my 360 games on my Series S, my Xbox Live account won’t download onto any 360 game on my Series S.
