360 freezes when playing

Often my 360 freezes when playing games, if I preload them to the hard drive they can be played but still freezes and having to shut down and restart. I tried to sign into chat and the name lines are grayed out unaccessible so i am unable to contact anyone
about this problem. I tried placing a service order (https://devicesupport.microsoft.com/en-US/Order/CreateOrder)but that is impossible as everything I try comes back"There
are no Offers associated with the problem type selected.".

So I am wondering if I can even get any service on my old 360 or would it be better trying to buy a used one. I would rather send mine in and get it updated and repaired/gone over and checked out.

Any suggestions???

Freezing can be caused by several problems. Does it only affect black ops 2, and only when playing multiplayer? I suggest you start off by taking a look at this troubleshooter:

FREEZING? Here's a work around for now.

I have alot of games that freezes on me even when not sign into xbox live and not sure why I'm always getting game freeze for games I play.I have stopped playing my xbox 360 due to dashboard not loading correctly.

regarding the repair, if your 360 console is the 'old' fat console, so not the Slim or E version then I'm afraid those are not repaired anymore.

Regarding the freezing issue, does this happen on other profiles too or only one profile? If it's only one profile, deleting the profile (profile only) and redownloading it should work.
