360 Error status code: 8007065b

Xbox status is showing all is good online (no global issues), but I keep coming up with "status code 8007065b" and it won't let me login into xbox live. My gamer tag, balance, messages, etc all show in the top right hand of screen but home page keeps saying
to connect the xbox to xbox live. I've reset a half dozen times and still nada.

I was online playing a couple of hours before this without issue.

Please advise?

You indicate that you have tried reset but try it again and perform it EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Thanks Genesis1953 for the reply.

Yeah that didn't work. I have all the Xbox Live services but keep running in the 8007065b error.

I contacted support and they said they know about this issue for the 360 consoles and that they were working on it. Funny thing is that I could get on without issue yesterday but again run into the error today and can't connect to Live

I contacted support via chat and they updated my gold status and I connected immediately.

Here was support's reply before it went live

no worries because our engineers are working hand on hand on fixing the issue. Rest assured that your contact today will be added to our priority list. Restoring the service is our utmost priority and we’ll do our best to get you back to the gaming world immediately
and get your excellent gaming experience back to normal. What I did was I have refreshed your xbox live gold subscription on our end to see if it will connect.'
