360 Elite turns Off when Xbox One is turned Off/On.

So, my brother and I each had an entertainment center situation in the living room. His 360E is hooked up to his TV and my 360 and X1 were hooked up to mine. Whenever I would turn my X1 On by console or controller, his 360 turned off. Whenever I would turn
my X1 Off in any way, his 360 turned off. I've moved my things into my bedroom, well away from the living room and it still does this.

I have no idea what causes this or even where to begin resolving the issue. Any ideas?

    :)

Xbox doesn't turn off when I turn it off?

Will your xbox eventually shut down complete after a short period of time or haven't you tested this yet out of fear it would go corrupt?
If it eventually shut downs after you waited for like half a minute it's probably nothing you have to worry about, as users like mareebaybay having the same issue.

    Turning off Xbox 360

I've noticed this for a while now, but with my Xbox 360 (not a slim, a white original), when you turn it off, the green light flashes three times slowly and then it finally turns off after about 45 seconds. It's really weird. It started doing it after the major overhaul update they had about a year ago. Not really a big deal, I guess, but just annoying. Does this happen to anyone else?

360 Elite turns Off when Xbox One is turned Off/On.

It is most likely that the IR code associated with your TV or audio receiver is similar to the one used by the 360, so when it powers on your One and associated device, the same IR signal sent is the power off/on signal used by the 360 remotes. You could
try to cover the IR receiver on his 360 to check this as well as trying your TV/receiver remotes on his 360. The latter would tell you which signal is the culprit.
