    Hey. I am also having trouble with my Xbox 360 controller. It isn't connecting when I try to use it. And do you mean to unplug my Xbox 360 E from my power strip when you say, "Killing the power strip"?

    xbox 360 E worth it?

    I have an E but I would honestly go with an S if I was you. The E is missing the optical audio that the S has and also the E runs a bit of a higher risk running hot then the S.

    It sounds like the ball bearing in your drive is going. Try to install your games. Eventually, if it's your drive, it'll give out. Get it serviced as soon as possible.

    Drives for Xbox 360 S will fit Xbox 360 E models.

    Xbox 360 drives that mount on the side wouldn't work on the Xbox 360 E.

    Significant and disconcerting noise is constant when playing games on recently replaced 360

    That definitely seems like a cooling fan issue. I do not know which version of the Xbox 360 you have, but I have seen that type of thing with the Slims and Xbox 360 E's. In most cases, that problem requires either fixing the Xbox or replacing it (again in
    your case). If you have a warranty and can send it in it will take a few weeks. Sorry for the trouble! I have had the same thing!
