360 does not stay on long enuff to even start/play a game

No idea what this issue is about but, My 360 keeps turning itself off. I have gone into system and "disabled" auto-shut. But still happening. I just ordered left4 dead2 also. I'm hoping to have this issu resolved with some help,ty

Every time a game loads I get disconnected from Xbox Live.

My ISP is TWC so that may be why. I can stay online so long as I stay on the dashboard and don't do play or watch anything. It's just the moment that I start a game it decides to disconnect me from live. Is there anything I can do?

Make sure all the power cable connections are secure. Can you try moving your Xbox to a different room/outlet set and see if the same thing occurs? Can you borrow a power supply from a friend and see if the same problem occurs? Depending on the model of
your Xbox, you may be able to go through
http://myservice.xbox.com and get a repair or replacement accessory if it turns out to be the power supply. The original Xbox is not eligible for replacement though but if you have an E or S then you should be able to go that route.

what color does the light on the power supply have when this happens?

Also when trying a different power supply make sure that the power supply is the exact same version, since there are different models out there, using the incorrect one (which may not even fit) can cause issues.

Als if you are using a surge protector or extension cable, check what happens when connecting the console directly to the wall socket (assuming you are using a console suited for your region)

 

If the PSU is green, there's a good chance that it may be overheating or suffering from a generic hardware failure. Phat consoles can no longer be repaired. Make sure that all your cables are attached properly, maybe try to use your console with no accessories
or HDD. If it still shuts down, it may need to be serviced.

 

Give me a few more hours on gaming with it,or at least i'll leave it on for partial of time. It will be being played or power will be on. I think it's solved. real simple like.lol

 

It does not change color when it shuts off,it just dies and goes orange. BUT. what i have done was this time follow and unplug and plug back in all cables. But I noticed the extension cord he used has no ground. so i used my 50ft extension cord and tried
all outlets i could reach. and it still shuts down,it is a "S" version. But i have lifted it off the shelf about 5inches. and played L4D,and no shut dons. But when i play COD Ghosts it shuts down way more often then L4D does. It maybe more graphic intense
buy the looks of the two games comparison. but i will report back,it is awefull humid out too. so it may be a heating issue. we shall see. ty for your answers. i will post back

 

Nope,houston we have a problem. can anyone guesstamate on what would need to be serviced.it has the 4gb built in . i don't think that is the problem tho.,,,it never acted up like this b 4 . so any idea would be appreciated,thx
