    360 disconnects within 5 min


    hi I'm hoping Somebody can help, I tried phone support but after 20 or so minutes with them on the phone I was hung up on. Here's my problem, I disconnect from Xbox live with no network issues, because as soon as I go to test connection it connects right
    up. I've made sure my router is up to date and functioning properly and have got good speeds when I run the speed test. And a 0% packet loss. I've reset my network settings on my Xbox and reset my wifi ( router model is netgear ac1900 ) also I unplugged my
    Xbox for 30 minutes and nothing seems to help. I'm getting really frustrated since I can't even play online. No other devices have problems on my network, and I have the best package my ISP offers. Any help would be appreciated! -

    I would recommend that you configure wireless settings on your router manually and not by using the built-in setup wizard.

    Make sure WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is disabled/turned off.

    Set wireless security to WPA2-PSK with AES encryption. Select a password/passphrase for your wireless network.

    Select a network name (single word) for your wireless network (SSID).

    Select Advanced Gateway Options and make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is ticked enable/turned on.

    Select Firewall Content Filter and make sure IP Flood Detection is disabled/turned off.

    Make sure you Save/Apply changes you've made on your router and reboot the router afterwards.

    Post back and let us know how that goes.

    Troubleshoot for Xbox 360

    Settings>system>network settings>select your network>configure network>go to additional settings>restore to factory defaults>yes

    After this steps, please press the power button on your console for 10 seconds to turn it off completely. Then please unplug all device connected to the console as well as the cable and power cord. And while everything is unplug please press the power button
    again for 10 seconds to drain the power. ( just to be sure the power on the console will be drained fully). Then you may replug everything and turn on the console.

    Thats what I tried while I was on the phone with tech suport and then tried on my own 2 more times, did not work. I still have the same issues. Thanks for taking the time to try and help!

  7. I apologize about that, you are very welcome!

    I don't know if you have already tried it but I would recommend you to remove your profile off the console and then redownload it back if not then you could also try this as well!

    System Update for Xbox 360

    Go to System Settings>Storage>Highlight Hard Drive

    Press the following buttons: LB,RB,X and then LB,RB,X again

    Press Yes on the update

    Console should reboot and re-install the update
