360 Digital content not unlocking on One.

It says in that link that I get to keep all the things I got from my 360 destiny save and all the DLC with it. I downloaded the Ghost edition content and it works on the 360, but not on the One. It says I have the items though, but it says "Collectors
edition required" when I hover over the items.

Any thoughts or troubleshooting ideas?

Will Destiny digital purchase on Xbox One unlock 360 copy?

I have an Xbox One and was planning to buy the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition. I saw the promotion about buying the Xbox 360 digital version and it unlocking the Xbox One version also...and since I have some friends that will be playing on 360, this seems
like a good option for me since I am active on both systems. Since the process is explained as making the Xbox 360 purchase/download, and then logging in with same the same account on the Xbox One, and downloading the game, would this work in reverse? I would
like to have access to the extra content in the Digital Guardian Edition, but the idea of having access to the game on both systems, so that I can play with all my friends, is very appealing to me.

a ton of people are having the same issue in the bungie forums, so far no response but if they ever reply i'll make sure and spread the info over here too, also been tweeting both xbox and bungie support, so far no info though

 

Did you purchase the full game on the Xbox One too? Only the digital content/game transfers. From what I have read from others is that having the digital items but not the full game will give that message.

 

Yes I did Havoc. Bought the Ghost edition on 360, and got the regular edition for One.

 

I have no idea then. Most of what I have seen is where people bought the Ghost/Limited Editions and thought that the game would transfer too. I don’t know why it would say that you specifically need a collector’s edition. I wonder if that is a placeholder
of something similar since they mention that the expansions won’t be available for full download until release. That is pure speculation though.

If the content that you are looking for is the extra bonus content (ghost shell, ship, emblem, Vanguard Armory) Bungie only mentioned digital copies of the game and the Expansion Pass transferring as far as DLC was involved. I know that it says that your
stats, gear, etc. are transferred as well but from what I have read they consider that DLC and not “gear." The only reason that I mention this is because I have seen a few posts where the bonus DLC is the content that isn't transferring.

Either way, I hope that you get your content to transfer. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be.

 

I know this is a really old post but have you tried equipping the items on 360 and then playing on the one?
