360 controller interference?

The problem i have is that my 360 seems to think buttons are being pressed on my controller when they aren't. This started with stick drift, then RT was being pressed constantly, and now LT too. Initially having two controllers in use meant that only the
controller registered to slot 1 would have this problem, now it seems both controllers suffer. Obviously this makes certain games unplayable, and even causes netflix to pause (stick registering as if im pressing left or right).

So the 1st thing i do is try a different controller. Same problem. I tried 3 or so wireless controllers, using batteries and the battery pack, without and with a charging cable. Same problem. Im now using a wired controller (which i bought specifically to
solve this). Same problem.

I figure it's an issue with the xbox, maybe a sensor is tripping out. So i get a second 360. Same problem. I've moved the console around my room, tried plugging into different sockets, tried turning off my speaker but nothing seems to solve this.

I'm left thinking maybe there's something in my room that could be blasting an infrared signal at the same frequency the xbox uses, but i don't see how this would affect the wired controller. Either way i'm at a loss, as i said most games are unplayable
due to the frustration of accidentally shooting people i shouldnt or skipping through menus and the such.

So does anyone have any suggestions? Any ideas will be appreciated at this point.

Tl;dr - multiple controllers (wired and not) and two consoles think buttons are being pressed when they aren't.

XIM does not emulate a 360 controller wholesale. A wired controller is required for operation. XIM translates KB/M to 360 controller inputs. The 360 controller is required for encryption purposes.

Hey Zerosten! Do you have any additional accessories attached to the console or controller? Examples would be: additional audio equipment, headsets, video switcher. Post back and let me know!

No, no attachments ir anything like that.

 

i also forgot to mention that the controllers will turn off or disconnect after extended periods of use. Both wired and wireless.
