    360 console will not stay powered off?


    I just got on my xbox 360 last night (haven't played in a week) and had to install new update. well everything seemed fine till this morning when I got on, I played a little world of tanks then went to shut off the console when I was finished. It shuts off
    then powers right back up. I unplug it from the power brick plug it back in and it still automatically comes on? any suggestion on what's happening?

    Blimming disgusted!

    Why would you stay in a modded lobby if you knew something was wrong?

    -

    As soon as you noticed something was wrong you should have powered off your console. This would have had the effect of not saving any altered stats and prevented you from getting banned.

    XBOX 360 S Console will not stay off

    Are you sure there is nothing hitting any of the on buttons on a remote - could have a book or something on it.

    Or that someone is not playing a prank on you with a controller in the other room?

    Just some thoughts

    I also noticed my console no longer powers off after 1hour of inactivity. Anyone having this same issue please help.

    Sorry to hear about the power issue. Is your console plugged into the wall outlet or plugged into a surge protector? If you have your console plugged into a surge protector, I recommend trying to plug it directly into the wall outlet.

    Sorry to hear about the power issue. Is your console plugged into the wall outlet or plugged into a surge protector? If you have your console plugged into a surge protector, I recommend trying to plug it directly into the wall outlet.

    External HDD spins and stops repeatedly

    You can turn off the external HDDs when the console is off by going to settings>power & startup>power & startup mode and stopping the HDD drive staying on when console is off.

    If your console is in instant on and set to keep all games and apps up to date this means that the HDD will power up/stay on to download whilst off.
