360 Console Continues to Freeze During Gameplay

At first, I thought it was a specific game - Lego Marvel. I shelved the game, frustrated, and returned to Borderlands 2 and Battlefield 4. Both of these games freeze the entire console, as well, which necessitates a system restart (Battlefield 4 play online).
Also, at times it will disconnect the link between my controller and the console, even though the batteries are at high capacity, and nothing is physically interjected between the sensor link, like a book, bag, whatever.

I'm not sure if this is all linked to the ever-maddening attempt to "update my security measures," which refuses to process and then prevents me from logging into my account.

Sad to say, this has driven me deeply into the arms of my PS3 for comfort.

HELP?!

Nope - the only thing that may work is sending it in for maintenance, but I can't process the service because Microsoft won't let me sign due to this password fiasco. Quite irritated now...

I run into the issue every so often. Is your system in a well ventilated area? I kept my system in a tv stand that has closing doors and kept the doors closed and realized it was causing the system to slightly overheat so it would freeze up. Also leaving
it on while you're not playing can cause issues as well. Make sure your system is kept in an area where the fans can keep it cool. Hope this helps!

I've seen this question many times on the forum. Here are some of the steps to help out.

#1 Try cleaning out your cache.

#2 Try deleting the old unused saved games.

#3 Try installing the games directly to the HDD.
