    360 backward compatible games not connecting to xbox live


    I can't connect to xbox live on 360 games. It's not been logging achievements and I've just figured out this is why.

    When I bring up the 360 menu and try to log in it says "your connection to xbox live has been lost. Please sign in again"

    Xbox is connected to Internet.

    Any thoughts. Tried hard reset and signing in and out.

    The Xbox 360 can only play Backward Compatible games if it has an official Xbox 360 hard drive installed, and the game is listed on here If your Xbox 360 needs an update, then just connect the console to Xbox live, and the console will automatically check for the update and ask you to download it. If it does not, then your console probably already has it, and the game you want to play is not backward compatible.

    Backwards compatible games are the same exact games as they are on 360 so you are connecting to 360 Xbox Live. If they were to shut them down, then you wouldn't be able to play any 360 game online.

    Areyou trying to play an original xbox gane on your new 360? If so it might not be backwards compatible with the 360 have a look at this link for a list of backwards compatible games
