360-Are there any rare titles?

Does anyone know if the 360 has any rare titles yet? Also do you have rare titles for other platforms that would possibly sell for more than the usual used game prices?

Console will not play netflix or DVDs when connect through hdmi

I suspect your 360 is not establishing an HDCP handshake with the display device. What exact make/model of display are you using and is there any other device (receiver, HDMI switch) in between the 360 and the device?

While rare, I have come across faulty HDMI cables that don't allow HDCP sync to complete (presumably due to high error rate).

 

I heard Tales of Vesperia was pretty hard to find.

 

well...they did banjo kazooie: nuts n' bolts exclusively for 360, but i imagine fans don't like to talk about it much, and the first two games were made available on the marketplace...i think nuts n' bolts is on digital as well. not sure what other games
rare has done, for nintendo or microsoft.

"Tales of Vesperia" was hard to find until Microsoft put it on Games On Demand.

"Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Sith Edition" is hard to find.

If you've still got "Deadpool" you've got your hands on a Collector's Item. We knew Activision's Marvel License had expired but as of last week they now have to pull the stock from shop shelves. On Amazon you'll only find it from 3rd party suppliers and
no chance on Shopto.

Finally, "Battle vs Chess". I've got my copy.

As for rare consoles on an Xbox platform, they did just pull a bunch of marvel games that will likely become rare soon enough.

 

@ Az .. ShopTo never stocked Deadpool even on release, it came out during the time when they refused to stock Activision games due to the CoD debacle.

 

The two Ultimate Alliance games from Activision aren't Collectors items, well maybe the Gold version of the first as that has the DLC included.

Just because it isn't on the shelves any more does not automatically make it a collectors item.

 

I don't have any rare games as such but I do have one I think might become rare in the future, it's a game called Disgaea 4, it's a Japanese Turn Based Strategy game that has only been released on PS3 on disc format, I think the fact that it's a niche game
that is not available for download and only released on one format gives it a fighting chance.

I also have a few other JRPG games that are niche, some of them are day one editions with artwork books and music discs, so you never know I might be sitting on a rare game for the future.

I'd imagine Panzer Dragoon Orta (original Xbox) will be worth something in the future.

 

Any Japanese visual novel would be a rare gem. I genre of game not available in North America or Europe. They usually sell for upwards of $100 on the internet.

Earth Defense force 2017 - Found 1 copy ever and bought it|

Vesperia - ditto

DoDonPachi Resurrection - Yep, bought the only copy I've ever seen

Williams Pinball - Bought it, seen maybe 3 copies

Burnout Revenge - I swear I've bought the only copy I've ever seen

Deathsmiles PAL - Seen 2 copies, bought 1

Resonance of fate - About 5 copies in the wild is all I've seen

There are definitely a lot of rare titles. Many games only released overseas are compatible with North American Xbox 360's, so they can be quite pricey to buy online.

I was thinking on more of digital terms (though you can't buy them anymore) - a rare game I have is Lost Cities on Xbox Arcade, which is impossible to purchase now.
