    1. Can I feed the 360 into the One, and then into one tv hdmi port? Will the 360 game play through with the One off?

    2. Would the best hook up be to connect each box to its own tv port? I have plenty.

    3. My router is in another room, with one network cable going into the 360. A splitter will be required?

The boxes are used only for gaming. The 360 is for online gaming (Mass Effect) and Fall Out. The One was a sudden gift,

and I don't really see a use for a few months. Occasionally we play a dvd, but I do not see any use for the tv functionality.

    :)

Xbox One setup incorporating Sky & 360

Do you mean the tv/ tv guide overlay or a different one if you connect a 360 to the one?

    Question about Xbox One

I'm still rocking a component connection for my 360 to my tv. I just found out that Xbox One will only support a HDMI connection. Do they sell a hdmi to component cable?

    Answers below:

1a. Can I feed the 360 into the One, and then into one tv hdmi port? Yes, then just run the TV app and your 360 will display through this.

1b. Will the 360 game play through with the One off? No. The Xbox One has to be turned on.

    2. Would the best hook up be to connect each box to its own tv port? Your choice really. You either have the choice of constantly changing inputs on the TV to swap OR constantly having 2 consoles on when you want to play the Xbox 360.

    3. My router is in another room, with one network cable going into the 360. A splitter will be required? Not sure I understand your question. If your router is a wireless router then your Xbox One can connect through this while your Xbox 360 uses
the Ethernet cable. I'm assuming you don't have an Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter which is why you are using the network cable. If your router is wireless then you would not need any additional cables or adapters since the Xbox One has a built in Wi-Fi.

  5. I use a cable for the 360 as online gaming is far superior. I could run the One wirelessly, but a network switch is no hassle. My tv will auto select the port with a signal, so until I can get rid of the 360 I'll run with two hdmi cables.

I appreciate your swift and polite answers.

  6. Just wanted to jump in on the first question. When running your 360 through your Xbox One, I've heard that there is a little bit of lag when playing the 360. I've noticed many people around the web struggling with this and wanted to tell you that it's
common before you make that move. I bought an HDMI selector box that lets me plug multiple HDMI enabled devices into it and then send the one I want to a single port on my TV. No lag at all. Have fun!

    Hdmi and Dvi problems

Are you connecting an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One to the TV?

On some TVs, if an HDMI-connected device is causing a shrunken output, there should be a TV setting that adjusts "overscan", which adjusts the size of the output on the screen.

Old Xbox live saved games and discs, arcade games, and switching consoles more than once

You can not play 360 games on the ONE, this would include your arcade games. You can daisy chain the 360 through the ONE by connecting the 360 to the TV input on the ONE with an HDMI cable. Then say Xbox go to tv and it will pick up the signal from the 360.
Your account works for both the 360 and the ONE.
