343 IS BLOWING IT!

I'm sorry but have all game developers suddenly forgotten why we play console? We don't play console to have ridiculous graphical settings, no LAN parties, and no split screen. CONSOLE'S ARE PARTY SYSTEMS! WE PLAY THEM WHEN WE HAVE A GATHERING OF FRIENDS!
WE PLAY SPLIT-SCREEN AND LOVE SETTING UP OUR XBOX'S TO DO BIG LAN PARTIES! IF WE ARE SO FOCUSED ON THE GRAPHICAL SINGLE PLAYER EXPERIENCE, WE DON'T BUY CONSOLES WE BUY GAMING PC'S! 343 I'm going to say that you are lying when you say that the reason for the
cut was to "deliver the best gaming experience." News flash: The best gaming experience is with your buddies all laughing like idiots and playing games together. Not everyone has money for an Xbox One! Not everyone has money to be forced to have a Gold Membership
to play games with friends. If you, the developers, were really a community of people that loved Halo you wouldn't be cutting the features that made it so great and made it the ultimate party game for years on end.

To Microsoft,

You own 343 Industries and you can do something about this. The Halo forums seem to be ignored 90% of the time by 343 and they really are not a group of Halo loving gamers, they are amatuers that would probably would rather release the game on a gaming PC

I think my Xbox S fan isn't working. How can I tell?

nevermind, it works. I can see it spinning. But it does get extra hot around the vent. Is the fan sucking the hot air out? or is it just blowing on the gpu or whatever? If its blowing on the gpu, wouldnt that mess it up since its just blowing the hot air
throughout the console?

I cant see myself keeping my copy of halo if I have to wait "several coming months" so I can level up again.

 

You can actually blame the community for this for moaning when shooters are only 30fps and websites like eurogamer who do nothing but nitpick frame rate and resolution to set ps4 and xbox fanboys against eachother.

It forced them to aim for 60fps.

You can guarantee that if the game was only 30fps the internet would be full of people moaning about not having 60fps even it had split screen.

So 343 can't win either way.

 

While maybe they should have included a split screen feature for both online and offline coop, the vast majority of people do play with their friends online. Making the game 60FPS is going to make the game extremely better for the online multiplayer experience
which is their biggest market.

 

Making a game 60 FPS doesn't make it better. It doesn't make Halo 4 any less *** with it. It doesn't add any new field of content. All it does is waste space on my hard drive and make an already smooth game a little smoother. 60 FPS is not going to make
a game "extremely better for the online multiplayer experience." Its not going to change the fundamentals of the game so please take your PCMR "60 FPS makes or breaks a game." attitude and go buy or build a gaming PC

 

60 FPS makes the game go much smoother thus making the online experience better. Perhaps gets Xbox live and play online with everyone else. Getting rid of game modes happens with every game from halo to call of duty, and even sports games. The popular modes
make the cut while the less popular get the boot.

 

In all honesty, I am neutral on this matter and I can provide various reasons as I did in Halo Waypoint forums:

The GOOD:

- Gives players better experience of gameplay.

- Health/Eye Straining is decreased (believe me, it sometimes sucks b/c once you play split-screen it can screw up your vision).

- MOST OF ALL: No MORE AFK'ers, and Cheaters.

The BAD:

- Okay, I deeply understand that Split-screen was great b/c I too had a lot of fun playing locally, but due to the changes in graphics, mechanics, etc. I now understand that split-screen would become a problem b/c from my perspective, Halo 5 would be crashing
left and right.

- No more local players (so yeah, no more 6v6/12v12 Halo house parties).

Now, this is just my point of view but as I said I am neutral. I've been a Halo fan since it first came out and with the new additions made (yes, that means I liked H4 as well with customs) I will still enjoy the game, its story, and music.

 

At the end of the day something is always cut or left out of a game... there is not such thing as a perfect game. with so many people playing games now days, it's almost impossible to make a game that won't upset someone.

I understand that you wanted split screen gaming and to you that is a big deal, but looking at the bigger picture here, I believe that more people would be upset if the game wasn't running a 60fps then if the game had or hadn't split screen.
