-33% Off 12 Months of Gold (Exclusive Offer)

Let's start this off by saying, I love Microsoft as a company and believe in their products with all my heart.

So what happened?

My gold was expiring and saw this deal pop up 5 days before it expired "YOUR GOLD IS EXPIRING. Take advantage of this deal while you can. 33% off when you renew now. $39.99 for one year."

I click on the link, it sends me to the store and tries to get me to pay full price. So what do I do? I contact Microsoft Support and am told "wait for your gold to expire, then try to use the deal."

I wait the five days, and the deal is gone. So I contact support about my previous issue, send him the photo I took from 5 days ago, then get told he needs 1-4 days to verify it. I wait 5-7 days and finally get an email back at 2:57 AM, where he literally
asks me to go back in time and take more photos of the deal. I sent him photos of my tv/gamertag as validation that it was not photo shopped and never got a response.

A few days later, I see another 33% off deal show up on my home page. This one didn't work as well, so what do I do? Contact Microsoft Support a third time. She offered me some basic advice the other two employees did not offer, so I appreciated that. I
just didn't understand why no one else had the same approach when the first deal came up. After an hour and a half, the woman I spoke to had me pay full price and refunded the $20 back to my bank account. Only, she refunded the entire balance and my new membership
was canceled within minutes of getting it. So this was now day 15 of having my time wasted and feeling scammed over a promotion they were currently offering.

After the long holiday weekend, I finally contact support for a fourth time, asking for a manager. The guy wastes 10 minutes of my time before realizing my persistence and searches for an available manager for about another 15 minutes. I finally get in touch
with the manager and she ignores every single thing I tell her. Took no notice of anything I said, only looked at "my previous cases." I stumped her with my responses multiple times and had to sit there while she ignored my questions/dodged anything that proved
to be an issue. In the end, she did resolve my issue, by having me pay full price and giving me $19.80 worth of Microsoft Money (note: Not money refunded to my account because she assured me that could not happen and contradicted herself on that same comment).
I asked for her supervisor and she told me she was at the highest level of Microsoft Support and told me I could only speak to another Support Manager.

In the end, it took 20 days to get my issue resolved and what they did is some form of a scam; literally by definition. I just feel as though The support staff generally does not care about offering excellent customer service, as I have never been offered
such terrible solutions before. I spent nearly five hours just in chats with the employees. Over an additional hour emailing them. Inconsistent advice for my solutions to nearly the same problem.

Was just curious if they did this to anyone else? I feel as though this is a topic that needs to be discussed.

So I got an email today saying 'Your subscription to Gold – 33% off 12 Months is scheduled to be automatically renewed to Gold – 12 Month on Sunday, December 09, 2012". Will the renewal stay at the 33% off price (40$), or will I be charged the regular
$60?

 

this company is gettting worst and worst i got/ a 3 month with a 3 month token for xbox live no token my live expires in one hour after 20 min with somebody in a chat told me to post in a forum? Wtf? A forum? Add the 3 months that you false advertise and
thats it ... really thinking about play station now ...its not the 3 month i have 3 paid accounts its about the moral of a company if you advertise something welll do it if not is misleading
