The "Definitive" edition appears to be on PS4. Misleading topic title there!

The rumor mill is that it is either 720p/30fps or 900p/30fps

 

1080 HD

UbiSoft confirmed today that the PS4 will run at 900p@30fps and the X1 will run 792@30fps.

 

PlayStation 4 = 53.36 average frame rate

Xbox One = 29.98 average frame rate

I've been playing for 2hrs and haven't noticed a drop in frame rate. /shrug

 

Sick of hearing about the frame rate, just want to play but the X1 version, it seems to be getting a bashing at the moment with only running at 30fps, 900p in cutscenes etc etc

I am no doubt in for a surprise come Thursday when it arrives, DR3 got a lot of negative comments from review websites with regards to its fps and I haven't noticed a drop despite the insane amount going on.

Looks absolutely stunning and runs extremely smooth. I don't care about the specs if my eyes don't notice the difference.

 

Totally agree, If I could keep off multi platform websites I would never know what the PS4 version may have over the X1 version, just boot the game up and appreciate the visuals for what they are.

 

Is this game worth the $60 price tag?

 

I defintely think so! If you like Uncharted or Indiana Jones at all you will really like this game. The graphics are amazaing, the story is good (so far anyway...only 25% percent through) and the tombs have some good puzzles. I haven't found one thing
I dislike about this game yet....except the damn quick time events can be a pain to get handle on. FYI when you have the circle closing in...you hit the button as soon as it shows and before it gets to the inner circle. Took me forever to figure that out!

I'm really enjoying it the 2nd time around.



It's pretty handy to be able to just command the map to appear and close but swapping weapons by command has got to be the real winner for me.



I might give the multiplayer on this a bash because there will probably be more people actually playing it.

 

You wouldn't notice the difference in frame rate unless it was side by side. The game runs smoothly and consistently. Nothing to complain about.

 

The xbox one version is capped at 30fps. I just picked this game up today and haven't had a frame rate issue yet. I would rather have capped 30fps than variable between 30-60. Some televisions don't display a fluctuating framerate very well. Game is
very pretty. I played it on my PC since I got it for free with my video card. Looks better than the PC version imo.

 

I've been playing it for the last couple of days and it is very pretty, no frame rate issues at all. The visuals are very clear and detailed due to the 1080P display and the surroundings, especially the vegetation and tree's are very realistic, I wish I
had have played this on my 360 to compare the two versions, but never mind as it looks very good in my opinion.
