£300 spent on an account I've never even played one game on!!

when we got a 2nd Xbox in our household in nov 17 and I set it up, I set up an account for me and paid the £1 xbox gold live trial before realising I could set up a family account and so set up a seperate account for my youngest son (the eldest one carried
on on the original Xbox account, but realised I could link all 3 to keep an eye on their spending etc) i cancelled the repeat subscription for my account and have never logged in since and have never played a game on it, have no followers etc on it. Today
I was awakened with a text from my bank to say I'd gone over my overdraft limit (which i have never done in my life before!) on logging in my banking I find microsoft have taken £300 from me. I contacted them and and apparently someone bought 6 x £50 digital
cards on the 30th Jan, they had even spoken with microsoft on the 31st Jan to make the purchase go through. I have never spoken to microsoft before today. they have admitted there has been suspicious behavior but are refusing to give me the £300 back - I've
obviously got my bank fighting for me, but I cannot afford to lose £300 I'm a single parent who works stupid hours to try to make ends meet as it is - anybody had this and got their money back??

This is very true and I'm good for spending $500 to $1000 a year just on the marketplace alone. I've spent over $300 so far just this year and that's not even including Live accounts or retail games.

 

Err, what's Battlefield?

Seriously, BF does not advertise at all in Australia, I have NEVER seen a Battlefield ad, EVER. I've seen around 30 MW3 billboards, 300 1 minute ad's for MW3 and a bunch of other crap. Seriously, I'd never played BF before, I'd never even know this was a
game. :S
