Same issue here - Everything states Gold member but not allowed online despite just redeeming 1 month and Payment details held.

You guys need to ring/chat with support and ask to have subscription ended and 1 month code emailed - just been on with 2 agents on live chat and it was only way to resolve after multiple hardware troubleshooting.

The free 1 month trial must have glitches so get pre paid code from support to fix it.

Ya this "Free Month" is crap. Same thing with me. Won't let me play online but I'm sure the money will go through just fine for the auto renew. Funny how that works out.

I know I am late to the party but the same thing happened to me. Trying to play NHL 17 and it kicks me out saying I need Gold and when I go through it says the same error. My account is active on the free trial month but Gold will not work. I was online
chat but they could not help and said they will escalate and get back to me. Wish me luck.

Same problem here. I could download free games but I'm not able to play online.

Some games or console bundles may include a prepaid code for a 2, 3, or 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial subscription.

I don't think the 30 day trial is offered anymore.

jfkdownt, my issue is exactly the same as yours, my card is on file too and I have no outstanding balance to pay etc.

I am experiencing the same Issue. Xbox live support is of little help and have not been able to resolve this issue. I entered my debit card for the free month trial and it shows my debit card on file yet I dont have access to xbox live gold even though my
account says so
