30 day waiting time to change security settings is unreasonable.

just got an Xbox one s for my son for his birthday, he cannot go online and play games such as minecraft due to security settings. Tried to sort this out all afternoon with no luck, the I've no longer got the email addresses that my back up security code
can be sent to I now have to wait 30 days for them to be changed. This is far to long.

More importantly it was fine for him to play minecraft online on his 360 but not now! Very unimpressed.

Unfortunately,we can't expedite the 30-day waiting period. The 30-day waiting period is a security measure to ensure no one is trying to take control of your account.

Also be aware that a profile will need to be on a console for at least 30 days, without it being downloaded again. Also changing any security settings will also reset that 30 day timer.

If the accounts have been on that console for at least 30 days and you didn't change any setting that can trigger the 30 day timer to reset then you might want to contact Xbox Support to see if they can determine why it isn't allowing you to change. To contact

that's a safety issue to prevent unauthorized access you are going to have to wait it out you do know that you can always make anothrr profile

The 30 days wait time is the added security for changing the security proof of your account, you just need to wait until 10/19/2014, by that time your account security information is already updated.

The wait time for 30 days cant be changed unfortunately. This is a safety feature to prevent all your securityinfo been changed with out you knowing. In the 30 days you can still sign in and play your games but you wouldnt be able too change any other privacy
settings or security info in that 30 day window.

changing a security proof, will take at least 30 days untill processed, but can take longer (Depending on what is changed), after changing it will 'say' when the change will take effect.

This wait time is a security measure to prevent people, stealing accounts and quickly changing the details.

If you for example want to cancel auto renewall, you can also contact Xbox Support to turn it off, but they can't speed up the 30 days wait time.

This prevents people who steal an account to quickly change the security info to prevent people from regaining access to their account.

I'm afraid the only thing you can do is wait those 30 days, since there is no way to speed it up.
