    Hi,

I currently have 2 xbox one consoles in the house, mine downstairs and my sons in his room (set as my home). My daughter now wants her own console too chances are we will all be on at the same time. Will I need multiple Xbox Live gold memberships to do
this? I assume only one console can be set as 'home' but it seems a bit harsh to have to buy multiple live memberships for consoles on the same home network?

Anyone done this/have any advice? or is it another chunk of cash to Microsoft (as if buying another console wasn't enough!!)

    :)

Firmware update for the astro A40 A50 mix amp

But think about this if you have the older consoles still

*Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users should NOT apply this firmware update. This firmware is for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users ONLY. *

    Multiple consoles

I now have 3 Xbox one consoles in the house, my question is how do I connect them to where we can all play online together. Do they each need their own Xbox live subscription or what. My Xbox one is set as the home Xbox and I'm confused on how to set up the other xboxs

You would need at least 2 gold subscriptions in order to share across 3 consoles. If you're the account that has the gold, you can share the gold on your Home console (you are correct that you can only have 1 console), and you can use your gold subscription
on any console. But to have gold on the 3rd console, you would need to have gold on another account and that account would either need to only use that console or set it as their Home console so everyone can use the gold as well.

Also to add, to make it cheaper on you, look for prepaid gold cards online. Generally you can find them around $30-$40 vs. paying $60 directly through Xbox. They should be on sale a lot over the next couple of months because of Christmas.

Don't know if anyone will see this because its an old thread, but what about the games that are purchased on the original, main account? Will the 3rd xbox (second gold account) be able to play the games? I feel like maybe they would not be. That is really
crappy, microsoft should want us to buy as many consoles as we want... don't limit us

as noted by smuwtches no console works the way you want

People would just use vpns to make an unlimited amount of memberships and gameshare with an unlimited amount of consoles if it was up based giving them all the same ip

it wouldn't vpn can mask the other persons ip

Everyone would look like they would be coming from the same ip

No console system even supports ip based

And shkuld be noted some games will ban accounts that login ij from multiple ips at the same time

Anyone can login into the one server and Ms would only see the servers ip
