3-point cheese

Yesterday I played some head to head online. I am not new to the series and had a 2.0 win ratio in 2k13. The first opponent I played took only 3s with his point guard. He would zigzag back and forth at the top of the arc until he got enough space and then
would let it fly. When I tried to on ball defend him the controls were not responsive enough to hang with him. I let the computer d him up and he was still successful. He literally did this every play and only missed on three. I switched my d settings to limit
perimeter shots and still no results. I tried zone and nothing would work. Needless to say I got killed by this guy who never passed and took the same unstoppable shot every time. It's pretty upsetting that there is an undefendable technique in this game.
I mean, why even play defense when you stand no chance? After I played this guy I thought perhaps he was just some cheese master and would not have to worry about that again. Well my next two opponents did the exact same strategy. Hardly fun to play against.
Anyways, have you all had any luck stopping the 3? If so I would love to hear how. I'm okay with getting beat in this game. I'm not okay with getting beat by the same shot every single time though.

Does anyone else find the idea of Mammoth cheese both repulsive and yet slightly intriguing or is it just me? :-D

I have a player who specializes in 3s, but he can't seem to catch a break and sink them. Release is A-, Shot quality is A-, but they keep dinging off the rim. Whoever is hitting those 3s like you're explaining it, have found a way to hit'em almost every
time, ignoring any penalties that would effect the shot. Not so much skill, but technique. Best bet is to crowd him when he gets the ball behind the arc and time his release to try and block the shot.

 

So on ball defense is the key? It just seems the game has to much lag online to play effective on ball defense. Is it possible that changing the 3 point sliders to 100% improves online 3s? Surely not!

 

Points of emphasis: Limit Perimeter Shooting and Play Physical

Also, since he wasn't passing you could switch to another player and manually double him and when he does pass just slide over in rotation just watch for the pump fake so you don't jump and have him blow past you for an easy dunk in the paint.
