    3 Flashing Red Lights, Power Supply Orange


    I tried the power supply on a different outlet in my room and downstairs, but I get the same 3 red flashing lights and power supply light is orange. Is this a power supply problem or is my 360 dead? I've had this 360 for 4-6 years now.

    Console has 3 red lights, still hasn't be resolved

    I used that wepsite and went 3 red light, orange light, then it told me it was the power supply.

    If you've tried all the steps then your console may be on its last legs. You may need to either send it in or purchase a new one.

    As I recall, the 3 lights (in the player 1, 2, and 3 slots) is usually referred to as the Red Ring of Death. If all 4 were lit up, it would be a connection issue (the power supply is not properly plugged in, or the video cable wasn't plugged into the system,
    or something of the like).

    I have had a Red Ring of Death (RRoD) several times with a first model 360 (the white ones that were available at launch). Eventually I got rid of it and got a new 250Gb model and have had no issues with it at all. It might be in your best interest to
    get a new XBOX 360 and a data transfer cable so you can transfer your save games from one hard drive to the new 360.

    Yes, I understand that, that means that there is an issue with the power supply and it needs to be replaced.

    Flashing orange, solid red, or no light: Your power supply may need to be replaced. Try the following solutions:



    1. Try plugging your console’s power supply into a different electrical outlet. Do not use a surge protector.

    2. If the power supply light is solid red or flashing orange, unplug the power supply and let it cool for 30 minutes. Then, plug the power supply back into the outlet.

    If your power supply light is still flashing orange, solid red, or unlit, your power supply needs to be replaced.
