3 Day Trial Code of Xbox Live Gold is not working

I had a code for a 3 day trial of xbox live gold to redeem. When I entered it, it claimed to be redeemed, but I still could not play games with friends. The trial is not activating. I have updated my billing info, and even added a payment option, to try
and get it to activate, but it still won't work. Sometimes, it will give me an error code: 8C210003. But the rest of the time, it's just grayed out in the account settings menu on my Xbox. I've also tried re-entering the code but it does not work, it says
the code has already been redeemed and to use another one.

One other thing I've tried: I tried deleting only my profile from the console, and also system cache, and redownloading my profile. That also did not work. I'm still stuck with the Free version.

Is there a reason why it won't activate? I would love to know ASAP.

bought my son plants vs. zombies for Xbox 1. It comes with a code to redeem 2 day trial Xbox live gold. The code is not working. Can you help?

That's because it doesn't change your status to gold

You can only play certain modes in games usually non ranked matches

Try non ranked matches and only with the game that the code came with

Because a 'xbox games pass ultimate 14 days trial code' equals a 'xbox game pass 14 days trial code + xbox live gold 14 days trial code', so for new Microsoft/Xbox accounts, a 'xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial codes' could be used/sold as 'xbox game
pass 14 days trial code' or 'xbox gold live 14 days trial code' , right?

Please help to clarify.

The Xbox Live Trial codes are available when you purchase games or console bundles. The prepaid code for the free trial can be a 2, 3 or 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial membership. To know more about Xbox Live Free Trial
