3 consoles were banned when only 1 is modified

My son was unaware that the pre-owned modified xbox was not allowed. The person who sold it to him said that it was fine it just voided the warranty since it was changed and pre-owned. My son also has 2 other xboxes that we bought new and have not been
modified.

My question is that since only 1 of the 3 xboxes was modified why are all 3 banned?

PLEASE HELP. I have spent alot of my hard earned money to buy the 2 new xboxes for my son and cannot afford to lose them. I can understand losing the modified box since we now know that it is not ok and the person who sold it to us misinformed us.

We would greatly appreciate it if the ban was removed from the 2 xboxes that are not modified and my son will remove the modified box and never use it again.

permanent console ban.

Sorry, but when the OP won't even admit what else they were banned for, then no, I still don't believe they were permanently banned simply for communication. It's pretty obvious that there is more to the story that's intentionaly being left out. I'd be willing
to bet the OP's "friend" modified the console and that's why it's permanently banned from Live.

Now, he is saying that my Xbox Console is modified. Now if it was a software mod, he would have said "Your consoles software is modified". He specifically said the CONSOLE is modified.

Now if I did a soft mod, then I would have something a little off with lets say my games, avatar, gt or something like that.

Also you know what is pretty interesting is how only the 1st and 2nd edition xboxs are getting banned. And whats even more strange is that Gamestop stopped carrying the old edition 360.

A second hand sold console is out of warranty and when you purchase it you do so at your own risk. A device ban is definitive so I suggest you to solve this issue with your retailer.

if the console was modified to play pirated games then as soon as you connect it to XBL it will be permanently banned and will no longer work online. If I were you and the seller did not disclose this information at the time of
purchase I would return it for a refund. Otherwise if you knew when you bought it then you are out of luck. Your only recourse would be to buy a brand new console. When you buy used you take a risk.

Once a console has been modified to play pirated games there is no undoing it and console bans are forever with no appeal.

No you can't, you will only get console banned if you modify/tamper with the console itself.

Obsessive Power

Consoles are not always banned due to modifications. If you have had multiple suspensions or perminant bans on the same console then that can also be another reason for a console ban. That is the only other way your console can be banned without it being
modified.
