3 chat adapters have broke! Need new cable!

Three, that's right, THREE headset adapters have failed on me! The thing 2.5 to 3.5 cable is the problem. I've told Microsoft this with no response! The cable is cheap and has a fault. I take very careful care of my stuff and yet this still happens.

What happens exactly? Well out of nowhere I won't be able to hear my friends in any chat. They can hear me. As I move the thin cable, it crackles and chat comes in and out as I move it. I must hold it in a certain spot for it to work. Then within a few
ours or the next day it will die completely and won't bring any chat through no matter what I do.

I have tried everything! New controller, new headset, swapped out the main adapter piece that goes into the controller, nothing works. It's the thin cable. The same thing has happened to me 3 times! I got one back from Microsoft after calling them about
it for a replacement and they sent me the charge cable and adapter but no 2.5 to 3.5mm cable! What am I supposed to do without it?

I use my adapter with Astro A40s. Please help me find an alternate cable to use that woks. Anyone know of any? Ones I can buy online somewhere? All I need is the 3.5 female to 2.5 male cable. Microsoft needs to sell this cable separately! I am not spending
another $20-$30 every couple of months to buy a whole new adapter when one cable is faulty. This is ridiculous and has me so mad. Please fix this. I am not the only one with this problem!

TB XP510s

Got my new TB XP510s on Friday night but not sure if I have them connected to the controller correctly. I have a MS chat adapter plugged into the controller and used a media device cable, that came with the TBs, to connect the headset to the controller. It has a 3 pole 2.5mm connector to attach to the headset and the other end of the cable has a 3 pole 3.5mm connector for the chat adapter on the controller. Anyone know if this is correct. Sometimes the chat function is not properly working on Forza so can't be sure if this is right.
I have seen a number of posts where people have used a PS4 chat cable to hook up their TBs to the xbox controller. Should I pick one of these cables up. Not really had a chance to spend some time with these headphones yet.

 

PS4 Chat cable ? Ms adapter

I have xp500's from my 360 that came with a Bluetooth puck and no chat cable.I have the Ms adapter for the Xbox One but I still need to get a chat cable in order to use my xp500's for chat and was wondering if the Ps4 chat cable works as its cheaper than a 360 talkback cable and looking at it would mean I could plug it straight into the adapter . Any body tried this ?

I was asking if this would be a suitable replacement for the 3.5-2.5mm cable and I think it would be:

the 3.5mm part is the same shape as the one on the original cable that sticks into the stereo adapter.

I think it's a universal standard type of thing so anything like this will do. (i'm assuming)

notice the 3 black lines on the male connection. the other one has 2 black lines. I thought i'd cover myself and get both as they are cheap with free delivery.

 

I have 2 sons with xbox kept thinking it was their headsets so have replaced them have had to take both their adapters back twice now an keeps happening just got another one cable is fine but adapter no working plug in other adapter and now working for how
long I don't know. this was such a stupid idea that Microsoft have came up with why cant they keep it the same as xbox 360 controllers.
