3 Blinking Red Lights

Discus and support 3 Blinking Red Lights in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My Xbox 360 is flashing 3 red lights and as of 2015 Microsoft does not offer support for my old beast. Does anyone know how to fix this?... Discussion in 'XBoX on Consoles' started by HarmfulPencil89, Jan 27, 2017.

    3 Blinking Red Lights


    My Xbox 360 is flashing 3 red lights and as of 2015 Microsoft does not offer support for my old beast. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    3 Red Lights only when hdmi cable plugged in.

    So when I start my xbox360 up, I get the 3 red blinking lights. When I turn it off and unplug my hdmi video cable, and turn the console back on its goes back to normal. As soon as I plug my HDMI cable into console the 3 blinking red lights come back....Not
    sure what to do at this point.

    My Xbox runs fine but when i update xbox it broke my hard drive error e 68 :/

    it shows me Error e 68 and a red light but not blinking :/

    3 Blinking Red Lights

    Three red lights most likely means a "Red ring of death", indicating a "General Hardware Failure".

    Officially, it means the Xbox will need to be sent in for repair (they might still do out-of-warranty repairs for 360s, just
    check).

    Your only other options are either a replacement console, or repairing it yourself (with all risks accounted for). I cannot provide any advice for the latter option.

    Are you referring to a blinking red light? That would indicate overheating or improper ventilation. See

    Or are you receiving a solid red light or lights?

    i need to know your error code

    turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing.

    Press and hold the sync up button while holding that button press the eject button.

    The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code

    Release the eject button and press it again.

    The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.

    Release the eject button and press it again.

    The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.

    Release the eject button and press it again.

    The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.

    Release the eject button and press it again.

    The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.

    and for you to understand this

    All four lights flashing = 0

    One light flashing = 1

    Two Lights flashing = 2

    Three lights flashing = 3
