    Worked fine since i had the controller but suddenly stopped working and doesnt detect my mic at all. Mic works fine with my pc and everything else. Any ideas on how to fix?

    USB port for audio output

    Is it possible to use the USB ports for audio output? I have an Bose Companion 3 which is designed for PCs. It primary audio input is through a USB connector. It also has a 3.5mm aux input through it's controller but I want to use the USB input. My main
    objective is to find a workaround to avoid using the aux input with the Xbox controller.

    New 3.5mm Xbox One controllers don't seem to output sound unless a mic is detected?

    I am having a similar issue with the new Master Chief controller for Xbox One. When I use my ear buds (without mic) I get sound through the controller and everything works fine. When I use my new headphones (over ear Bluetooth/aux capable) with the 3.5mm
    cable it detects the headphones but does not play sound. The headphones work on all of my other devices with 3.5mm jack.

    Hey there GLadiAtor Mx97,

    This headset does not seem to be compatible with the Xbox One console. There are many compatible headsets on the market that you can take a look at to use with the Xbox One console.

    In your case the headset will not work as it does not have the 3.5mm Aux jack. Headsets will not work through the USB port on the console.

    Yeah the controller came with the Console, so it has to have the same warranty time as the console does since the console’s warranty doesn’t expire till 22 of this December.

    I have tried those methods, the controller is up to date and the USB way doesn’t work at all, I’m still confident that the Aux 3.5mm port is loose from the inside of the controller.

    Unfortunately with USB you can only use xbox licensed headsets due to the fact they use their own codec. You would have to use the connection through the controller to get it to work. Any 3.5mm 3 pole aux cable should work as long as your headset has the
    3.5mm jack on it also.
