    3.0 8TB hard drive issue with series x


    I have a Series X and moved my external 3.0 harddrive over with my xbox one games. Since hooking it up I’ve noticed the Series X become much more unstable. It constantly freezes and loads extremely slow even when loading from the internal SSD. When
    i unhook the USB drive everything seems to work fine. Anyone else have this issue and is there a solution?

    1. 2 USB 3.0 Drives.

    2. 8TB per drive.

    3. upto 16TB of external storage across 2 drives.

    I used to use 8TB for xbox games and 4TB for the 360 games.

    this has not changed on the series i believe as they are using the same software.

    yes you can play all your games from your hard drive you can plug a 3.0 hard drive in to the new xbox series x and can copy xbox series x games to the hard drive but you will need to copy them back to the xbox if you want to play them again

    I have a WD 8TB and a Seagate 8TB hard drive, no issues. Max overall is 16TB. You could in theory get a 10TB and a 6TB hard drive.

    Virtually any USB 3.0 hard drive is compatible

    Please note it can only be used to store, not play Series X/S games
