2Wire: my xbox sometimes wont play game disc or digital

As ngocphi said, he'll be able to play any digital games he has downloaded, however because the Xbox Series S doesn't have a disc drive he wont be able to play any disc based games.

Thankfully i refuse to purchase digital games unless i have to. All my good games are disc. Microsoft can shove online only up their a$#. So digital games are more expensive and Microsoft wont let you play them periodically. Go disc format.

I like digital for the convenience of not needing a disc in the tray. However, with most physical disc games. At least I know that I wont lose my ability to play the game if it's delisted in the future from the marketplace.

If playing Xbox games using a disc, you will be able to transfer the game to the Xbox digital if using an external HDD but wont be able to play as the disc required in order to verify you are the owner of the game.

The digital Xbox is great if you are new to Xbox and only intend to buy digital games or you already have a large collection of games purchased from the Microsoft store. Its also great for GamePass too.

They wont automatically start installing but they will appear in Ready to Install next to Games (Digital) If it is a Disc you wont see them until you put the Actual disc into the Xbox (Disc)
