2Wire: microsoft video rental or purchase

That is odd. Is it a purchased video or a rental?

When you rent a video you can only watch it on the device you started the rental from, just in case that is the issue.

buying and renting videos, USA:



- 14 days to start the rental from the time of purchase

- 24hrs from time of first viewing until the rental expires

- Rental's only viewable on the Zune service it was rented on (XBOX, PC, WP7, or Zune hardware).

- 14 days to start the rental from the time of purchase

- 48hrs from time of first viewing until the rental expires

- Rental's only viewable on the Zune service it was rented on (XBOX, PC, or WP7).



Could just be a typo, but the example's pretty detailed and they bothered to modify the note to remove Zune hardware from the service options in the AU.[quote user="StabYoFace"]It shoundnt come down to being careful though, if rented, you as the renter should

Zune's terms are spelled out. If you don't like them, don't rent Zune videos.

Playstation Network has digital rental & purchase of 3D movies, but I haven't seen any in Xbox Video (unfortunately).

Not sure if you are still curious about this but the first 4K rental I saw on the Microsoft Movies app was Lego Batman for rental or purchase.

Oh also beeing reported that this same issue is happening on xbox video...so I'm definetely gonna hold off purchasing a rental untill this is fixed.
