2TB Xbox One S Release date

I tried searching but couldn't find an answer so I apologize if this topic already exists. I'm curious if there has been an official release date for the Xbox One S 2TB besides the generic "August" answer? Even the GOW bundle has a release date.

I've read a lot of places that it is August 31st, but I heard that is a generic release date? Then I came across a Target ad that says August 2nd. Anyone have thoughts on This? Here's a link to the Target Source

I thought this game came out early on 10/7/16 but gamestop.com and amazon.com say if you pre order the console bundle you get it 10/6/16 even a day earlier can anyone confirm this?

No in this case it is not. The release date actually is August 31st. When I pre ordered mine I asked the guy if that was legit or if it was just a place holder and he said that it is the actual release date. Although I went in there yesterday and changed
my pre order to the gears of war 4 edition. It will match my gears of war 3 360.

 

Spoke to both Microsoft store & Gamestop employees this week (Seattle, WA) and both confirmed that it'll be beginning of August, and ALL models (from 500gb - 2tb) will be available on launch day. Who knows though until they put it on paper...

 

I like your answer better but the launch of all models give me doubt. I hope it's true. Which store in the Seattle area? I live a little south of Seattle but I would love to follow up with them and see if they give the same answer

 

I've preordered the Australian model through EB Games (aka Gamestop in the USA), and today received a reminder that the preorder is "almost here" and to ensure that my credit card details are up to date. From past experience, these email reminders are sent
out two weeks prior to shipping, and the EB Games AU website is showing the Xbox One S controller with a release date of August 2.

I'm getting goosebumps!
