  1. 2TB Hard Drive Doesn't Show Data Previously Saved But Can Make New Saves

I formatted a Transcend 2TB hard drive for my 360 and moved everything from my internal drives to it. It worked fine for a while. Today, I booted up the Xbox and it got hung up on the white Xbox screen. I restarted my Xbox and it showed that there were
no profiles to select. After checking things out in Settings, my Xbox recognizes the hard drive. It shows that I have 1001 GB of 1800 GB (it's 1800 something, but I don't recall the exact number) free and the bar to the right shows that the drive is just over
1/3 full. When I select the drive and it pulls up the individual categories (Games and Apps, Profiles, etc.), everything shows 0 KB. If I select a category, it shows "No items found." I started a new game and the drive is listed as a storage option, I can
save games to the drive, and they are visible when I go to settings.

I don't understand how all of my old stuff is still taking up space, but can't be accessed, while my new saves are perfectly fine. I also don't want to lose hundreds of game saves and have to re-download 800+ GB of games on demand by reformatting the drive.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    :)

  2. Hard drive options?

Hi there, from major nelson's blog 'Larger external USB hard drives – Plug in any external USB hard drive up to 2 TB to store your Xbox 360 downloads, profile, saved games, and other data'

    majornelson.com/.../xbox-360-system-update-now-available-adds-support-for-2tb-hard-drives

It basically says any hard drive up to 2tb so I'd plug in just about any, just be aware that it will format that drive and you will lose any data on there so make sure you don't want anything on there.

Also it will work the same as the 'internal' storage on the machine, so games, saves, profiles, music etc.

  3. Dark souls 2 problem

So I was on my xbox 360 and I was in the hard drive part looking at my Dark souls 2 data. And for some reason it only showed 1 saved game data file. To further explain the title said SAVE DATA and under it said saved game. but I have 2 characters so shouldn't
it show 2 of those SAVE DATA things. Like with most games if you look in your hard drive it usually shows each characters save. So my question is this. Are my darks souls characters being deleted or are they just going into one collective SAVE DATA on my hard
    drive?

2TB Hard Drive Doesn't Show Data Previously Saved But Can Make New Saves

The Xbox doesn't actually calculate how much space is used vs how much space is free. When you write something to the file system, the Xbox writes to a file telling it, W, X and Y take Z amount of space. If those files somehow become corrupted or removed,
they disappear, but the file that reports how much space is being used doesn't get updated. Your stuff is gone. If you can't access it or view it, try a different USB cable, or even a different Xbox. If it's still not there, it's not there. Format your drive,
and be careful what you put on it. If it still continues to act up, don't use your drive.

The problem is that the hard drive doesn't show any save files, even though it suggests there is data on the drive by showing it has 72 GB available.

Can you save new save data from Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One hard drive?

I tried making a new save offline and found out that you can save games and have it stored on your hard drive. It doesn't require Xbox Live Gold to make new saves. That's a big relief. Xbox One backwards compatibility is awesome!
