2nd step authentication on Xbox One not requesting for approve anymore

Dear All,

Does anyone noticed that since some time (few days?) Xbox One doesn't ask for 2nd step verification approval? I have double checked the security options, turned the 2nd step authentication off and on again, it works for my Microsoft account everywhere else than Xbox.

What else should I check?

Or it's a bug in latest SW update?

might be the fact that the xbox console you are using is set as a trusted device and therefore won't need 2fa.

I can't find it, could you please guide me step-by-step? Interestingly, I need to always give a password (I'm not storing/saving it). Moreover checking different account options in the Console, it asked me to log in again and then asked for 2nd step verification. But not on the main screen where I log in to the Console after the boot.

Strange, I can't figure out how account management works in Microsoft :-(

go to security option on the console and forget password, when you sign in on an xbox and choose to not ask again (basically save password) it becomes a trusted device and does not need 2fa.

Thanks, but I haven't change any settings anywhere. So questions:

- how to set console as trusted device?

- how to remove it from the list of trusted devices?

There is an initial screen upon pressing start in mcc displaying the words "let's get you signed in" upon pressing "sign in" I am promptly taken to "approve sign in request" screen with no option to back out and no way to approve the request with the authenticator app
