2nd issue with controllers /headsets

I am getting so sick of this. All I ask if for my controllers/ mics to work.

My first problem occurred sometime ago with your firmware bricking 2 of my controllers. So I send in my controllers for repair and of course lose my Day One Controller logo.

Now my *** headset mics won't work. I have swapped new headsets with new controllers and the only thing that doesn't work is the *** mic. I have done cold resets and even went as far as redoing my routers. I can hear people just fine but, the mics just don't
work. I spoke with tech support and apparently this is an issue with Xbox.

This needs to be fixed.

Xbox One headset not working correctly ?

I have two controllers one controller stopped working with headset now the 2nd controller stopped working with both head sets. they can hear me but I cannot hear them.

Chat headsets

Having gone through 2 headsets over the past year, we decided to spend a little more money this time. However, the new headsets we purchased, 1st - Afterglow stereo headset, and 2nd - Hyperx Cloud Stinger, will not work with our controllers (purchased
12/2017). The headsets DO work with a used controller we purchased just for testing. Our controllers performed just fine for 10 months with headsets, but now we are unable to use a headset Does anyone have an idea of what may be the problem? Or do I just
have to buy new controllers?

Had this issue for eight months, all you can do is use kinect in party chat... Trust me it sucks not being able to use gamechat and then having to invite everyone to a party to talk

Have you tried a 2nd headset? Sometimes those volume knobs and mute switches on headsets where out and can cause issues like this.

If you have tried another headset also be sure to test a 2nd controller and also go into the system volume settings and make sure the volume for voice hasn't gotten turned down at the system level

my friend had the same problem, i recommended he try a 2nd controller and it was in fact the controller with the problem not the headset.

general settings - volume & audio output. check that the correct settings are in place.

what model headset is it? not all headsets are compatible, are you using an adaptor? is the adaptor new? have you tried a 2nd adaptor if possible? have you tried a 2nd controller?

Mine had this issue as well. I discovered it was due to the headset adapter "puck" not fitting as snugly in its spot. Due to the lose fit the connections would constantly drop. I could hear them, but no one could hear me. Once I tried puck on my brand new
2nd controller the issues immediately stopped. The puck also snaps in tightly, for now. I have no doubt that after a certain amount of use this controller will also start to loosen up its hold on the puck. The headset adapter puck is a really poorly designed
attachment. Hopefully, that is why they released new controller with headset jack on it.
