    I bought an HP X27i 2K Monitor Gaming Display (27 inch display, QHD IPS, 144Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium, HDMI, DisplayPort) to play at 120HZ in 2K on my XBOX ONE X.

    Unfortunately this doesn't work with Xbox! Maximum 120hz at 1080p. On 2k only 60hz!

    Why can't it be set to "2K 120hz" and played?

    Please support !!

    Yes I'm there and the Game is for 2k. So that is not the problem.

    My Xbox One X will not accepted the Setting "1440p with 120hz" with my HP X27i Monitor. Do you now that issue ?

    the edid contains the info the xbox uses for the monitor, the monitor has 1080p @ 120hz listed and only has 1440p @ 60hz listed so the xbox cannot use 1440p at 120.

    pc's can ignore the edid xbox cannot.

    because that monitor supports 144hz but does not have 120hz as an option in the monitor edid for that resolution, pc can set manual resolutions, xbox cant and the monitor has to support or state it can do 120hz at 1440p in the edid for the xbox to use it.
