    2gb update that will delete everything


    My brother joined the preview program on his GT Upshall x 19 and he recently opted out and I've read that you lose all your games if you download the update. Is there a way to reverse the process and opt him back in so we dont lose everything?

    Hi there go to settings then select system console info to see what your OS version is. By chance are you in the preview program?

    So I come home and turn on my xbox and I suddenly have a 2GB update? I haven't found anything on this anywhere, there was a power outage so I hope it's not that I'm downloading the day one patch again -__- Seriously I swear to god because this would be
    the second time this has happened

    Hi Dr Dee,

    Once you're in the preview program, and have the NXOE you can opt out. That said, you do need to factory reset which will erase everything on your hard drive. Your game saves, app settings, and digital licenses are stored in the cloud, however you
    will need to install all your games again.

    Same thing happened to me, Xbox should let everyone know this problem. Takes along time to get everything back. XBOX , not a big fan anymore after this to me. If you dont have unlimited broadbsn its going to cost you to get your games back.

    I guess Hydro didn't read it correctly.

    First: this is something that everyone was told if you read any of the announcements, or any forums about removing your console from the program, so you have no one to blame but yourself. Ignorance is not bliss.

    If you were in the Preview Program and got the NXOE and have opted out, but you do not want to loose your stuff, there is no way to undo the change registration. Once you have opted-out you have to go through everything before you can opt back in.

    You will loose everything and have to reinstall all your Games & Apps after you are reverted back to the old dashboard unless you back up everything to and external hard drive and unplug it when you are applying the reset update.

    **So in short, there is no way to reverse the process, not even microsoft can stop it now, unless you know someone on the dev team 2gb update that will delete everything :p And since this is a post asking about the Preview Program, we ask that you post to the Preview Update Forums from now on

    You cant revert to an older build (public or thr bc update build without a factory reset as they are previous versions

    Rememeber you are signing up for a beta

    Not everything will function correctly

    You cant revert to an older build (public or thr bc update build without a factory reset as they are previous versions

    Rememeber you are signing up for a beta

    Not everything will function correctly

    Same thing happened to me, Xbox should let everyone know this problem. Takes along time to get everything back. XBOX , not a big fan anymore after this to me. If you dont have unlimited broadbsn its going to cost you to get your games back.
