  1. 2D Blu-rays will nolonger play on my XBOX ONE; Code 0x91d70000, but others work including 3D ...

Hello, my searches of this subject haven't brought up any results that exactly match my issue (at least that not that I can find) and I'm not sure where to turn to on this one. I have an Xbox One ( 2013 day one) which will no longer load any of my 2D Blu-ray
discs shwing only an error code of 0x91d70000. I specify 2D since all of my DVDs, Games and even 3D Blu-rays load just fine. Steps I've tried to correct the situation include:

    1. Tried multiple 2D Blu-rays discs that have work in my xbox one in the past. All fail. Tested will games, dvds and 3D blu-rays and all work.
    2. Clearing the persistent memory
    3. Soft reboot
    4. Hard reboot
    5. uninstall and re-installed blu-ray app along with a hard reboot.
    6. unplugging/re-plugging the power cord (Sometime this will allow a 2D disc to play once only. If I try to play it again it's not possible and the error code pops up again.)
    7. Moved as much game memory to external drive as possible to allow for ample space on internal drive.

None of these steps have really helped. Has anyone seen the same situation and/or has been able to resolve such an issue? Any insight or assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

    :)

    No 3D Blu-ray support??????

Agreed. Currently I have to put my 3D Blu-ray movies into the PS3. I have quite a few Blu-rays that have the 3D and the 2D versions on the same discs. Those don't work as well.

  3. 3D Blu-ray movies no longer play in 3D mode

I'm also encountering the same problem. I recently upgraded from an Xbox One to Xbox One S. On the Xbox One I watched many 3D Blu-rays and never had a problem. I tried to watch Zootopia 3D on my One S and the menu is 3D but the movie plays in 2D. I then
tried Edge of Tomorrow 3D (which I had previously watched in my old Xbox One) and it worked correctly. I have not tried other discs yet, but it appears some work while others don't. Changing settings on my Xbox or TV didn't make any difference, and my Xbox
One S says all video formats are supported by my system.

    Heya Raklen.

Super odd that you're only having troubles with 2D Blu-ray movies. It sounds like you've given quite a few steps a try, have you given a

    Factory Reset
a try? You can start out with the option to keep Games & Apps, but if you're still having troubles after you'll want to try removing Games & Apps

  5. Mister Maka,

Thank you for your suggestion. It was worth a try but ultimately did not resolve my issue. Thank you anyway.

Thanks for giving that a try.

Sorry to hear you're still having issues. Do you possibly have a friend or family member with an Xbox One you can test one of your 2D blu-rays on? It's possible there is an issue with your disc drive and this can help us narrow it down.

  7. I've actually tried many of my 2D Blu-rays that I've used successfully on this same Xbox One in the past and they all didn't work anymore. I tried most of my Marvel films (Avengers, Dr Strange, Guardians, Capt. America), Star Wars the Force Awakens, and
Rouge One. All fail now. Today I realized that all the ones I used were Disney Blu-Rays. So I hunted down a Paramount Star Trek disc and bingo it worked. I tried others non-Disney discs and they ALL seemed to work. So, then I searched the internet
for the same problem with the word Disney included and got a few hits regarding a work around stating
"hold the disc for 0.5-1.5 seconds between your index and thumb finger when the blu-ray player tries to transport the the disc into its disc slot. It has to be when it actually has got traction or "grabbed" the disc, not just when the disc transport
    motor and wheels has started."
I tried it and BINGO that finally worked!! For my Dr Strange 2D Blu-Ray anyway.

Its not a true solution to the problem but it's got me going for now. There is obviously a timing issue with how/when the player reads & checks the validity of the disc's information (at least for Disney discs on my machine). I don't know how useful
this info may be for you and your team, but thanks for trying to assist. I do really appreciate it, Mister Maka.

    Hey there Raklen.

Glad to see you found a solution, although generally that solution implies that the issue is with your disc drive. If the issue persists it may be worth setting up a repair/replacement for your Xbox One.
