I must have been gone a long time, because this website has completely changed. for the worse. Oh my god.

 

This article is so Bingo.

Im assuming most of these quirks will be addressed in Destiny 2; whenever that comes out.

 

Alot of those issues IGN have dont affect me.

Whilst Destiny is lacking its still a great game to pick up and play every now and again. I have got more than my moneys worth from the game (including DLC) and that is all I ask.

 

I loved Destiny to begin with, but once I hit LvL 28 or so I just got bored.

I got bored of repeating the same strikes over and over and over and over, I got bored of the Raid after only the second attempt (they put a stealth section into a game that is all about run and gun for pitys sake)

For me, Destiny should have looked hard at what Borderlands did, and perhaps emulate it more.

 

If they emulated it anymore it would have been Borderlands 3!

 

I'd have to say in the last year, I could pick 29 things out of every game that has been released that the companies did wrong! I don't see how destiny is any different!

Great read...thanks for the post. I'm sure these are things many of us have pointed out before, but it's nice to see them collected in an article like this. If not for the fact that Destiny taps into the human tendency toward addictive activities based
on rewards, this would have gone down as one of the most poorly conceived titles in gaming history. Needless to say, I won't be spending any more of my money on this waste of hard drive space.

 

Yea, I would say nail on the head here.... but a list like this could be made for every game.... none are perfect.

 

I think everything mentioned is minor. If these were glaring mistakes or errors then I would agree.

 

Pretty good list. Mostly minor issues besides the storytelling. That was the biggest one for me. I still enjoy the game regardless but I hope they learn and make the next one even better.

 

I hope the next one makes it more enjoyable for those with limited game time. If I put 8 hours into a game I expect a good deal of progression in the game. As I have found its just luck. Spending 8 hours and receiving little in progression in return is what
finally killed it for me.
