29 hours and not fixed how is this possible

Games were different where different from 1979 to the early 2000's so of course you played them alone as we all did but now especially when a game like Destiny, Titanfall, which are about communication. Also many of us hv jobs & hv to plan to get togther
& can't play all day every day. It just showed a friend pop on yet I shouldn't be able to see a friend pop on bc I don't hv any friends according to my friends list. The guy at xbox told me they don't even know what the problem is so they have to find the
problem before they can fix it.

 

I like Cloud's comment on the previous page. I'm sure M does more than just work 9-3 and sit with a cup of coffee having a lol at us.

XBL is having issues for the past 3 days. Xbox 1 Smart glass app and Xbox 1 consoles Dashboard report they sometimes can't load your friends list. Even this site is glitchy sometimes. Even on Xbox 360 I couldn't view half of my other friends friends list.
One of my friends who I was playing with today was appearing offline. She didn't know why that was. And when I tried to join another friends XBL Party on 360, the Dashboard said unable to connect to XBL Party. There could be network issues (aka on Microsoft's
side not mine).

They should have it fixed soon though. Whenever XBL is having issues, I'm sure they notice a lot of us aren't shy about bringing it to their attention. XBL on 360 and 1 is magic and great.... when everything is working properly. There are occasional multiplayer
issues with particular games, those are OK, but we're talking about CORE XBL services such as friends Gamerscore (its not 0 sometimes it may say that when issues come up), notifications and Party systems and the system saying we are offline when we're not
and unable to join XBL Parties. It can even test my patience at times. I'm sure they work hard though to keep Xbox up and running.

 

Some fix do not take minunts to fix. Sometime fixs take days.

 

Sure it can be annoying for many people for various reasons, but it's not worth getting in a twist over it. At this very moment I can't access my activity alert to see what it is and says to try again later. There's nothing I can do about it, so I'll just
check later, no biggie.

Mafivee, if its any help, I had the same issue but could check my stuff on smartglass.

 

I can't read the bios and my friends Friends List for several friends, on the Xbox 360 Dashboard. Friends List on Xbox 1 is loading OK. This is what you call an issue with CORE Xbox Live stuff (issues with friends list, Gamerscore, notifications, parties).
They should get around to fixing it soon tho.

 

Love the post above about 7and a half years good service, one hiccup lasting just over a day and the toys well and truly leave the pram. LOL!

 

Don't worry, buddy! There will be another raid to do... and another after that... and another after that... and... isn't that really all there is to do in that game anyway?

 

Just out of ironic timing I decided to play on the 360 this week with a friend and we have not had a single problem. But I have heard for sure the X1 friends list is having a lot of issues. Guess I dodged a bullet this week by playing the 360.

 

yesterday i just fired up the 360 and got a party on that was weird using a 360 as a glorified team speak server but it is definitely a pain when you wanna chat to some friends who tend to be more on the xbox than any other communication/social device/site

Least i can sit in a party on my own i guess, i hate game chat lol

 

I've been on Xbox Live for 12 years, and this is the first time I've encountered this extent of a problem with my friends list/messaging system.

...so 1 time in 12 years is most definitely forgivable.

I haven't been on today, but it seemed to be fixed last night before I got offline.

 

Smartglass though has been working fine.

So that means you (like myself) were a member back in... The holiday season '07 if memory serves... when XBL went down for like 2 weeks and had a ton of other issues in the weeks
before and after that complete outage. Wonder what these poor people would've done back then? Jumped from rooftops? lol

Seriously, I can understand that we pay for the service and we want it to work properly, but c'mon. As far as being up and running goes (even with some issues here and there),
XBL has a track record that rivals my ISP... and I pay nearly twice as much monthly for my ISP as I do yearly for XBL.

 

I pay about 45$/month for my internet and about the same for 1yr of Gold Xbl (just for perspective).

Don't recall the outage of 2007. Makes me wonder what I was doing back then. lol
