24 hr suspension appeal

Since you will not allow me to appeal a 24hr suspension because according to you it is 'too short' I have been told that I need to appeal here. I have been using Xbox for a very...very long time, and not ONCE have I lost my temper to the point of swearing
until last night. I have no previous dings on my account and have never even used the messenger feature on the system to speak with ANYONE outside of friends.

Last night, I was playing with my friend and another player decided that he was going to sabotage the game by refusing to heal or otherwise aid the rest of the team despite being the only healer on the team. After which point I will admit that I lost my temper.
I did use some profanity and I will admit that,
but not once was it directed at him. I did not call him names. I did not behave in a way I would describe as harrassing. He responded to me with 'Happy Halloween" which was a clear indication of his full intent to get me suspended at that point. I asked
him to please be considerate of others when selecting a character and not select healer if he is not going to be a team player. I should not have used profanity, and I will admit that, but in the YEARS i have been playing I have not once been reported, or
otherwise caused problems for other players.

An immediate full 29 Hr. suspension of my account was VASTLY inappropriate. I would have understood if it was a few hours or even for the night but crippling me for the rest of the day was past the point of acceptable.

I have a disability that makes it nearly impossible for me to leave the house and playing games with my friends is the only way I get to interact with people out of my house. It might not seem like a big deal to you, or your company, and I understand that bad
words are scary but can you honestly say that the crime fits the punishment at this point.

Not only that, but you will not allow me to protest the judgement. You have no direct line to speak with ANYONE who could help me with my issue, and instead your advisors send me here to shout into the void. Microsoft has a history of poor customer service,
and honestly until this point I never understood why they would say that, now I am beginning to understand.

Also the suspension applies when you sign back in to Xbox Live. You can appeal the suspension if it's longer than 24 hours through the website as well.

It's best to check at enforcement.xbox.com/ you can attempt to appeal the suspension but 24 hours isn't much so i wouldn't worry.

 

You will need to contact Xbox Enforcement for this matter.

 

I literally CANT because you said I'm not eligible for review because it's 'too short' and Enforcement doesn't have a direct line I can contact. I just spent almost an HOUR chatting with different advisors who all told me the only thing I can do is come
on here and rub some salt in my wounds while I'm ignored.

 

Hi, unfortunately nobody on the forums can help. The Enforcement team do not use the forums, the only contact point is via https://enforcement.xbox.com and as you are aware, there
is no case review for short suspensions.

 

So why pray tell did TWO of your advisors tell me to come on here just so I could shout into the endless void? Microsoft needs to find a way for people to speak to their Enforcement team even if they determine that inconveniencing their customers for 29
hours, not even 24 is 'short' to them. This is absolutely ridiculous. That's my ENTIRE day off gone, and nothing I can do about it because you decided I am not important enough as a customer.

 

Hi I'm afraid no one on here can help you with this issues. As you are aware you cannot have a review on a 24 ban and you have admitted you broke the code of conduct. This means even if a review were possible it wouldn't be upheld due to the use of bad
language. The circumstances wouldn't change that. You need to ensure you dont break this code of conduct again as the bans get longer from here in. I completely understand it can be frustrating but you really shouldn't engage with trolls online. Maybe
turn the game off and come back to it as a later time. The code of conduct is in place to protect us all and we are all under the same rules. Shouldn't be long till you are back gaming again.

 

Your idea of what constitutes proper punishment for a first-time offense is absolutely ridiculous. I am beginning to understand why more and more people are switching to PC gaming. I've literally been playing for years and have had people behave in atrocious
fashions that never faced any consequences because they didn't use a 'bad word'. You lose your temper ONE time after YEARS and get banned for an extended length of time. Apparently, swearing is much scarier than flat-out abusive behavior. Then when you attempt
to reach out to someone to protest and attempt to make a case, you get sent in circles and told no one can help you, no one cares. You know what I said? I said it was [Mod Removed- Profanity] that he threw the game, and that he should refrain
from picking healer if he is not going to be a team player. That's it. I didn't call him names, I didn't directly say anything harrassing. It's obvious that your bots that you use to review cases don't view content, they literally just look for profanity.

I am sorry, but we arent able to handle anything in regards to suspensions. MS Customer Support might be able to assist, but chances are by now your suspension is just about over. Just be careful going forward how you behave and you should be fine

 

Enforcement is nothing to do with support so they often tell people to post on the forums when they shouldn't.

It's something that has been happening for years & doesn't look like it's going to be addressed any time soon.

There is nothing you can do.As you know,you can not appeal a 24 hour suspension due to the fact that by the time the enforcement team got to your appeal the suspension would be over so going to the enforcement site will do nothing other than tell you what
you were suspended for & the length of the suspension.

Doesn't matter how long you have been with xbox or your circumstances,you admit to violating the CoC/ToU & were suspended as a result.

All you can do is learn from this & make sure you don't make the same mistake again because,as mentioned,next time the suspension will be longer.
